Songs come alive with pictures
Objectives
- Adding illustrations to different contexts
- Building language comprehension and expression skills, encouraging multi-lingual expression
- Expansion of vocabulary through building a pictionary
- Bringing the local traditional expressions into formal classroom processes, connecting learning to the local/ community
What prior skills are assumed
- Creating images and organizing in folders
- Familiarity with text editor - basic text entry, inserting images into a document
- Local language typing

Description of activity with detailed steps
Teacher led activity
- Your teacher will play a song in the class and as a group discuss the lyrics; the lyrics of the song will be given in a text document.
