Introduction
SoundCloud is a global online audio distribution platform based in Berlin, Germany, that enables its users to upload, record, promote, and share their originally-created sounds. According to the company’s data, in December 2014, the service attracts more than 175 million unique monthly listeners, while content creators upload approximately twelve hours worth of audio every minute. SoundCloud's content is evenly split between small-time and mainstream musicians.

Overview of Features
Offline Listening While the ability to save music to play when not connected to the internet isn’t a new or revolutionary feature, it is one that people really love. Fellow Forbes contributor Nick Messitte spoke to representatives from SoundCloud before Go launched this morning, and they called offline playing “our most requested feature”. Music No One Else Has One of the features that has made SoundCloud so popular is that it has millions upon millions of tracks that no other streaming service is built to hold. Everything from remixes to mashups to covers and full DJ sets are available on the site, and while those are precisely the uploads that have gotten SoundCloud in trouble with those looking to be paid for having parts of their intellectual property used, it is also what makes SoundCloud as unique and beloved as it is.
