మనము నిత్యజీవితములో మన చుట్టూ ఉన్న పొలాలు, ఇండ్లు,వంతెనలు,రైలు మార్గలు,పాఠశాల భవనాలు , ఆట స్థలాలు వంటివి అనేకం ఎల్లప్పుడు చుస్తూవుంటాము. అదే విధంగా గాలి పటాలు ,లుడొ అట్తలు, క్యారంబోర్దులు, కిటికీలు, నల్లబల్లలు వంటివి కూడా అనేకం చుస్తాం. ఇటువంటి వాటిని పటాలుగా గీస్తే మనకు ఎలా కనిపిస్తాయి. వీటి అన్నింటి యొక్క ప్రాథమిక జ్యామితి ఆకారాలు ఎమిటి ? వీటిలొ అత్యదికంగా నాలుగు భుజాలు కల్గిన చతుర్భుజాలు వస్తాయి. ఇవి అన్ని మన నిత్యజీవితంలొ విద్యార్థులు గమనిస్తారు వాటిని అంవ్యయించుకొవడం ద్వార అతనికి జ్యామితీయ ఆకారల పై అవగాహన వస్తుంది . దాని ఆదారంగా విధ్యార్థులకు భొదించడం - సులభం అవుతుంది.
కోణముల నిర్మాణానికి వృత్తలేఖిని వాడితె అవి ఖచ్చితమైన పటాలుగా ఏర్పడటమే కాక, తార్కిక నిరూపించవచ్చు. కోణమాని ఆనేది కోణాల కొలతలు సరిచూసుకోవడానికి మాత్రమే ఎక్కువగా ఉపయోగించాలి. అందుచే విద్యార్థులకు వృత్తలేఖిని ఎక్కువగా ఉపయోగించి అనుకూలమైన అన్ని రకాల కోణాలను నిర్మించే విధానాలను వివరంగా తెలియజేయాలి.
We see fields, Houses, bridges,railways tracks,school buildings,play grounds, etc, around us. We also see kites ludos,carrom boards, windows, black boards and other things arounds. When we draw these things what do the figure look like ?
What is the basic geometrical shape in all these? Most of these are quadrilateral figures with four sides.
Angles constructed by using compasses are accurate and can be proved logically, where as the protractor can be used for measurement and verification. So let our students learn to construct all possible angles with the help of compass.

- సమాంతర సమాంతర భుజాల రెండు జతల చతుర్భుజాలు ఉన్నాయి.
- దీర్ఘ చతురస్రాలు నాలుగు లంబ కోణాలతో సమాంతర ఉంటాయి.
- ఒక రాంబస్ నాలుగు సమాన వైపులా తో ఒక సమాంతర చతుర్భుజం ఉంది.
- ఒక చదరపు నాలుగు లంబ కోణాలతో ఒక రాంబస్ ఉంది.
- ఒక విషమ చతుర్భుజం సమాంతర భుజాల కనీసం ఒక జత తో ఒక చతుర్భుజం.
- Parallelograms are quadrilaterals with two pairs of parallel sides.
- Rectangles are parallelograms with four right angles.
- A rhombus is a parallelogram with four equal sides .
