Children are often at varied levels in a classroom and teaching to the mean is not effective. It is possible to create lesson plans that allow children to work at different levels even on a single topic/ concept. These mixed level strategies can also be implemented in same age classrooms. Using stories, projects, activity cards, combined with teacher led activities and students' self-work are some strategies that can be combined for effective mixed level teaching.

Examples of mixed age lessons/ modules are provided below.
