Notes for the teacher

The school is a mini-community. High school is not always from same community and children come from many villages. We need to understand who are all in the class so we can learn and work together. Collecting this data will also help us in that. Many times, we do not always know what parents do; what are their jobs, what changes are happening in their village, etc. This will help in understanding the family profile. Tracing family tree is very fun activity. Children can understand more about what ancestor means, how lives have changed, what changes are happening now, etc.

When during the school year will it be done

  1. Level 1- After completion of data processing module
  2. Level 2 - After completion of graphics module
  3. Level 3 - End of year

  1. Data collection - through homework based questionnaire
  2. Data entry - 1 week
  3. Data analysis - 1 week
