PLANTS AND THEIR USES

Objectives

  1. To know about various plants of surroundings.
  2. To know uses of plants.
  3. To classify the plants on basis of their uses.
  4. To collect information of plants.
  5. To know the difference between the parts of various plants.
  6. To Gain the knowledge about the uses of various plants.
  7. To Develop the awareness of importance of plants among the people.
  8. To Present data collected by using digital tools.
  9. To learn and practice various software tools and applications.

What prior skills are assumed

  1. Collecting data
  2. Entering data in spread sheets.
  3. Typing in text document.
  4. Introduction to using camera and audio recorder.

Resources needed

Hardware

  1. paper , pencil for data collection.
  2. Camera for taking pictures of plants.
  3. Audio recorder for record interview.
  4. Computer for data entry.

Software

  1. spread sheet, text editing software.

  1. Surrounding Plants observation.
  2. Data collection of plants.
  3. Taking photographs of plants.
  4. Data entry and analysis
  5. Presentation : photos and videos of plants, text.
  6. Preparing village map indicating plants location.
  7. Compiling as a book named “plants of our village“
